The UK book trade is now a dynamic and constantly changing market. We are seeing unprecedented levels of rapid and significant change; old ways of doing things are often no longer appropriate in this new, fast-moving climate.
With these challenges in mind, Target Sales was formed in 2010 to offer a new kind of professional and targeted sales representation. Rather than offering an 'all or nothing' approach to representation, we see tailored, bespoke representation as the most flexible way forward in maximising sales and marketing opportunities.
Target Sales is ideally placed to adapt quickly to maximise these sales and marketing opportunities as they develop. We have a highly experienced team of sales managers with skills in both traditional field sales and in key account management. As well as the subscription of new titles, our sales managers ensure effective core stock management, in order to boost backlist sales. We also work with our customers to promote and publicise our publisher's titles. By working in partnership with our publisher's in-house sales and marketing teams, we are able to target our sales effort effectively and to maximise the impact of our sales effort.
Our sales managers cover all of the UK book trade and have built an enviable list of contacts and relationships. Our customers include all the major bookselling chains (both at head office and across the high street stores); the national and regional wholesalers; key internet players; the independent booksellers; museum and galleries and the gift trade.
Our portfolio includes a diverse range of quality publishers. This focused, quality range offers our customers a real benefit in working with Target. At the same time, the range of quality titles we represent also benefits the publisher, since we are able to do justice to a broad range of titles and to ensure that all areas of a publisher's list are well represented.
